| After the government introduced the Fuchien Province Kinmen County Autonomy Ordiance in 1999, the Bureaus of Construction, Engineering Affairs, and Tourism were implemented. At that time, our tasks included urban planning, building management, road constructions, civil engineering, water constructions, and landscaping. On Oct. 1, 2004, we worked with the charter revisions and let the Bureau of Construction took over “urban planning” and “building management,” and we introduced 5 more sections – “construction quality control,” “civil engineering,” “architecture engineering,” “water and sewage,” and “construction planning.” Being a dedicated engineering unit, we handle public works and are in charge of construction of schools and agencies (except for Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Inc., Harbor Office, and Water Plant). |
